The soil type is sandy and the vegetation is semi desertic, including plants such as: chollas, ocotillo, palofierro, paloverde, pitalla, prickly pear, bisnaga, and the unique saguaro cactuses, which give a touch of distinction to this panorama.

The climate is dry and warm, with an average annual temperature of 83º F and an average annual rainfall of 150 mm. During the months of December and January there can be ocassional rainshowers and the temperatures will fluctuate between 32º and 77º F.
